You are on a journey to the new world. This is the most significant thing that has ever happened in your life. You are about to leave behind everything you know and start completely over. Your decision to leave your homeland is a difficult one but you are thinking of a new life with many opportunities. You have heard so much of this place called “America”. Is all the talk true? What awaits you across the ocean? Although it is very sad for you to leave behind family, friends and memories you decide to take the risk because of the excitement of a new life and all its possibilities.

You have one final dilemma- how to find a way to hold onto to your memories. Your history, culture, and past is very important to you. You have decided to make a journal with the hopes of protecting your memories and experiences for yourself, your family, and future generations to come.
