SUMMER READING 2023
6th GRADE
Students entering 6th Grade are required to read Restart by Gordon Korman and Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.
Students will be assigned a project for the books in September.
Please remember to read 30 minutes daily. Here are some other book suggestions for personal enrichment.
7th GRADE
Students entering 7th Grade are required to read Refugee by Alan Gratz and Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick.
Students will be given assignments in September. Here are other book suggestions for your enjoyment.
8th GRADE
Students entering 8th Grade are required to read two books before the start of the 2023-2024 school year. There will be projects assigned
based on the books in September. It is recommended that students take notes while reading. Sticky notes are always a good idea.
All 8th Grade students are required to read I Will Always Write Back by Caitlin Alifirenka and Martin Ganda; and Woods Runner by Gary Paulsen.
