COMMUNITY SERVICE

St. Thomas More School is deeply committed to teaching our students the gifts of service to others with many local community service charitable endeavors. Over the course of the past 10 years, St. Thomas More School students have raised just over $15,000 for various local non-profit organizations including Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, The Multiple Sclerosis Wellness Program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, Everlasting Life Ministries, The Sanctuary at Haafsville, and Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley. Fundraising efforts such as the Junior High Charity Dance, Year of Giving, Night of Giving, Dine to Donate events, and raffle ticket sales have largely contributed to the success of such charitable efforts and have unified the STM community in its care for others, particularly the vulnerable, marginalized, and those in need in the Lehigh Valley area.

Other service projects for students include cookie bakes for Everlasting Life Ministries, Soles for Souls shoe drives, Ecumenical Food Bank Thanksgiving food drives, can drives for Allentown Central Catholic High School’s Central City Project, Warming Station snack bags for the Allentown YM/WCA during winter months, Murphy’s Angels donation drives, as well as many other service-oriented actions for our students.
