SCHOLARSHIPS

STM MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS 

St. Thomas More School has been blessed with new opportunities for our students to earn Merit Scholarships.

Through the kindness and generosity of our donors, we have established the following opportunities:

 

Marian & Jack Stolz Memorial Scholarship Fund

This fund was set up by the family of Mrs. Stolz, who was a 4th Grade teacher at STM School for 18 years.

Her three daughters, Susan (Stolz) McCauley, Margaret (Stolz) Oehmke, and Catherine (Stolz) Hackney all attended STM School.

Eligible students are nominated by their teacher and would need to meet the following criteria:

  • Incoming 4th Grader.

  • Grade point average of a B or higher.

  • Impeccable character determined by teacher recommendation and no disciplinary record.

  • Demonstrates leadership through classroom engagement, collaboration, creativity, and strong work ethic.

  • Demonstrates service to others either in the classroom or through church.

  • Must be a member of STM parish.

 

Walter H. Beadling III Scholarship Fund

This fund was created by the friends and family of Walter H. Beadling III, who was a longtime parishioner at STM and had a passion to support Catholic Education.  

Eligible students are nominated by their teacher and would need to meet the following criteria:

  • Incoming 4th, 5th or 6th Grader.

  • Grade point average of a B or higher.

  • Does not need to be a member of STM parish.

  • Demonstrates leadership shown through classroom engagement, collaboration, creativity, and strong work ethic.

  • Demonstrates service to others either in the classroom or through church.

Eligibility Requirements & Nomination Process:

  • Teachers nominate students that meet the required criteria for each scholarship.

  • Nominees are submitted to the Administration team who selects a winner for each Merit Scholarship.

  • Scholarship award recipients will be announced at the 2nd Trimester Honors Assembly.

 

There is no application to submit, students are nominated by teacher recommendation and selection only.
